2009 - White Water Rafting - EPIC 3 - COMPLETED!!!
« on: March 04, 2009, 07:48:09 PM »
White Water Rafting
we are doing this Thurs. it will cost $34 per person this will be a half day trip. post up if interested and ill add you to the list

We do have partialy-guided trips on the Nantahala at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day between June 10 and 14. It is a 3-hour trip with about 2 hours on the water. We provide all the equipment necessary - paddle jackets, pants and PFD. Check-in time for the trips is half an hour prior to the trip time. The water is always cold on the Nantahala - about 50 degrees year-round. Generally we will put 6 people plus the guide in each raft. On a weekday the price is $46 per person.

Here this is real close and affordable! We need to get this going. I will book it if we can get enought people to go!!

Rapid Transit is a full-day family outing that combines a scenic morning train ride and an afternoon raft trip. This option is available exclusively on the Nantahala River, with our friends at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad . Meet in Bryson City and take a ride through history, out the old Murphy Line of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The train drops you off right at NOC in time for lunch at Slow Joe's Riverside Cafe . After lunch, get ready to splash down the family-friendly Nantahala on a fully-guided NOC raft trip. After your exciting run through Nantahala Falls, you'll float right back to NOC where an instant photo show, changing rooms, hot showers, and transportation back to Bryson City await you. A souvenir photo of your run down Nantahala Falls is included in the price.

depends on wat size raft you go on... some rafts are 4 people and a guide some are 6 people and a guide and some are even 8 people and a guide
