So Ace and Kido you guys are taking I-95 up I'm assuming? I know Ace is from Vero from the intro thread. If you guys want to meet up and ride we could meet up somewhere. If you guys are both on the east coast you could take I-95 to I-10 all the way to the I-75/I-10 junction, we could meet in Lake City? Also Kido said 7am, would you guys be willing to leave any earlier? I've done this drive a few times and basically its best to get out of FL before 9am, after that the highway patrol sets up their traps, more idiots are on the road as well. Also in GA the cops are even worse, going through Atlanta you basically have a fairly reliable window of 11am-2pm where you won't hit a significant back ups, any later and prepare to sit in traffic. If we make a straight shot up and make it to Chattanooga, TN after that we can take our time and bs around, get food, etc. Also to get to Robinsville, NC from I-75 the shortest way is to take the Cherohala Skyway which I've never seen in the fall but when I went it was very scenic, definitely some places worth stopping to get pics and take in the views. This is the way I am going to take.

We we're going Turnpike to 75, that's fastest way (he'll likely be leaving from my place in Orlando)

We could meet up at Wildwood (Turnpike/I-75).  If we meet there at 8am, that puts us in Atlanta at 3pm assuming an hour of food and gas stops. (6h 3m from Wildwood to downtown Atl at Speed limit and I don't like speeding through GA, they DONT mess around).  Sooner with less time stopped (Doubt it will be an hour worth food/gas) and 5ish over.  Likely gets us out of Atlanta around 3pm, puts us at the Tail at 6pm.

Sound good?

We'd be leaving well before 8, I meant meeting at that intersection which is over an hour away from my house, which means leaving 630,7.

I'm okay with meeting at Wildwood, would meeting at McDonalds be alright? (I'd get coffee there). Would you be able to get there any earlier? I know getting up early sucks(for work the latest I can get up is 5am) but I'd rather be tired than stuck in traffic in ATL and like you said cops in GA are bad, from experience the later in the day the more cops. GA is tough on speeding and they hide all over, I usually go 75mph or 80mph if I have faster people in front of me. Actually in ATL speeding is okay because most of the time people are flying past you even at 80mph, flow of traffic works there and they pull over by luck of the draw basically. The worst parts are those damn sections of 75 that they close 20 miles and have roadwork signs everywhere and a lower speed limit with work going on maybe for a tiny area. You guys get better gas mileage than me but I will only need to stop once somewhere in central GA, I'm thinking to stop outside of Chattanooga and tank up as well because I know a non ethanol gas station there.

Damn... turbo kills your mileage eh?

It actually recycles it... so it increases your mileage... The issue though is you can't keep your damn foot off the pedal! LOL - I know some guys getting an extra 12-18 mpg after their turbo install... and then myself I average 18-23 mpg vs the 31-35 I used to get lol

I plan on getting drunk as a skunk and dry hump a large stuffed animal.

I guess we can leave earlier, though I can't promise I'll be seeing the road as much as feeling it that early lol.

Haha that is true but I know performance turbos can decrease gas mileage.

Thats when you crank up the music and its party time! Besides until Atlanta the drive is boring, I usually turn on autopilot and this guy takes over and I go take a nap in the back!

JK! I usually grab a coffee and I'm good.

Well according to Google its about 1 hour 44 mins from Safety Harbor, FL(I am close to it) to Wildwood, FL. Henry and Steve are going to meet in Orlando and go from there and Google says about an hour depending where in Orlando they are. So what maybe meet in Wildwood, FL at 6:30-7?

Cool! I'm just throwing this out there if you guys would want to stop for lunch at Sugars Ribs in Chattanooga?

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=35.013861,-85.272542&spn=0.002935,0.006539&t=h&z=18&vpsrc=6&layer=c&cbll=35.013788,-85.272466&panoid=IaNLLXJy1R_FJTd4e-BcQQ&cbp=12,138.55,,0,-8.42

They have pretty good food, you'll be full pretty quick, especially if you use a ton of sauce like me.

Maybe then we could head up to Raccoon Mountain which is 15 minutes away and get some cool pics and hang out for a bit?

Its up to you guys, we could go on Weds on our way up since Robbinsville would be about another 2-3hours away but traffic is pretty light usually. We could do Sunday on the way back but I know some of us will be tired. I love the Smoky Mountains, if you've never been its very cool and its one of the best times you'll have driving. Maybe we could even meet up with GA members have a large group. One more thing there are a few ways to get to Robbinsville we could take Highway 74 to 129(quickest but least scenic), we could take the Cherohala Skyway(most scenic), or we could go further up to 129 which goes through the tail of the dragon(longer route and going around essentially but most fun).

we will be hitting the dragon multiple times during the meet so I think it might be good to just get there and get settled it, but as for the BBQ I'm always in for a good bbq. YUM!

To be honest the ETA could vary depending on if we hit any traffic in Atlanta and any other possible events. Maybe we can meet you somewhere north of Atlanta, you might know a little better where we could meet.
